THE ORIGIN OF FLOWERS

The "Origin of Flowers" series is a fantasy story that I conceived to explore an otherworldly universe where the first flowers have just come into existence and narrate their occurrences as if they wanted us to know their past, revealing to us why we feel so enchanted by their presence.

Just like us, sentient beings, they invite us to experience their feelings while interacting with creatures of all kinds.

I am the first flower

that came into existence.

I am the second.

I am the last.

You've never seen me before.

I want you to see me again, and again, and again...

I love seeing that bunch pretending they are not significant. But that one over there, she can't fool anyone.

They said those were horses,

zebras and giraffes,

but they don't look like nothing of the sort. They are too mysterious

for my taste.

They were our

first flesh-and-bone guardians,

the most careful carriers and

delightful visitors.

Some say that I show off my moods

too blatantly.

So, my apologies if I can't hide them.

Bewildering everything around, leaving enigmatic traces behind and changing the whole vibe of a scene...

We became the first objects of desire.

I am every inch

weather dependent.

I can't wait in my buds

to experience the next efflorescence.

I heard that

it's marvelous.

They promised me

I would be timeless.

There was a boom of wild daisy-like creatures the other day. I could hear them drumming in stillness.

Oppositely arranged, cream-like flowers will be burgeoning in tonight's magical time.

Ray and disc florets

have been holding on

all so strong,

everytime the powerful

North wind blows in.

I will blossom every second, again and again, until you notice me, like a

whirlwind of desires.

A fertile field feels like warm soft animal skin. Embracing and protecting us from

the effects of temperature, light and humidity.

The first shoot that

grows from the seed

of a plant will

scream mystical words enchanting everyone.

It will be a

blossoming secret feast.

Simple leaves

will be welcome too.

A Moonlight Goddess

will cast a

swirl of beauties.

You will think it's otherworldly,

but that's just how

it all once was.

Shhh, we have to stay quiet now. It's time for some magnificent silence.

This is not a dream.
